Lekha Washington who debuted with the recently released 'Jeyam Kondaan' is a very happy girl as ace director Mani Ratnam has congratulated her on a stunning performance.

'I felt proud that Mani Ratnam liked my performance' beamed Lekha. Though the actress was not the heroine of the film, she has a wonderful character that had enough and more scope to perform well. However, the former VJ turned actress is categorical that she will don only heroine roles in the future.

A film titled 'Rakozhi' has been planned and Lekha Washington will pair with Jai. Since the film is not going to commence very soon, she is considering an offer from Bollywood. Lekha reveals that talks are currently on with the Hindi project.

After her stint at Video Jockeying, Lekha made it big nationally as one of the interviewers of the highly successful Indian Premier League (IPL). Adventure seems to be the second name of Lekha as he is very fond of adventure sport. She was in London recently and trained in parachute jumping.
